George Stevens Construction, Inc. provides services ranging from small repair projects to full-fledge top of the line homes. We prefer to use top quality materials and will discuss with you the differences, advantages, disadvantages, costs etc. We will work with you to facilitate design of your project which may be a kitchen or bath remodel, a deck, retaining wall, barn, or your dream home. We will strive to help you achieve the highest quality that will conform to your budget.
WHY CUSTOM IN LIEU OF MODULAR CONSTRUCTION?
Custom building allows the construction of projects and homes that do not fit the parameters of modular/manufactured construction. Reasons for this are: "over the road" limitations on height, width, and length, as well as offsetting costs associated with shipping, setting, crane fees, etc. Many structures do not benefit from being "manufactured" offsite such as small additions, attached and detached garages etc. These relatively small structures are cost prohibitive to build as modular due to required bracing, shipping and setup fees.
Custom building allows projects to be of any size. Through engineering design and material considerations, custom projects do not need to adhere to the limitations of modular construction. Large "sprawling" homes with open floor plans, tall walls with true cathedral ceilings, intricate roofing systems, etc. are possible, and only practical as custom built.

We only sell their product because the quality of materials and craftmanship, as well as any service required after the sale, is among the best in the industry. As with any products and services, you do get what you pay for.
Standard floor plans and standard specifications are available for viewing. Please be aware that the floor plans represent standard concepts; as it would be impossible to represent all. Floor plans and specifications can be modified to fit your needs. If your ideal floor plan is from another publication, or from your head, do not hesitate to investigate the possibilities of your future home through us. We will be happy to quote any floorplan and specifications to fulfill your modular home needs.
WHY MODULAR IN LIEU OF CUSTOM "STICK" BUILT?
The modular home insdustry has grown tremendously in the last decade. The two largest factors in the manufactured housing success are the utilization of innovative technologies and cost. Modular homes are built in a controlled indoor environment; and in the case of Future Home Technology, Inc., a modern facility. This allows excellent controlled working conditions and precise equipment/manufacturing techniques. This technology yields consistent quality control. Furthermore, a modular home does not leave the indoor environment (free of sun, rain, snow, etc.) until it is "weatherproof" for delivery.
Cost benefits are due to precise engineering (elimination of costly waste), the purchase of materials in volume, and the smooth operating assembly line approach to manufacturing. These cost benefits are then passed onto the consumer.
